OUR HISTORY: THE HISTORY OF VALLEY LO TOWERS

The legacy of Valley Lo Towers is part of the larger story of one of Glenview's most unique and celebrated communities.

1960s: The Vision for a Lakeside Community

Our story begins in 1961 with the founding of the private Valley Lo Club. The vision was to create a vibrant, family-friendly community centered around a stunning 28-acre lake, offering recreation and a resort-like atmosphere. Throughout the 1960s and 1970s, this vision took shape as charming single-family homes and townhouses were built, establishing Valley Lo as a premier North Shore residential enclave.

1980s: Reaching New Heights

As demand grew for luxury, maintenance-free living, the next chapter of the community began. The Valley Lo Towers were developed to add an elegant, high-density living option with beautiful views and modern amenities.

  • 1982-1984: Valley Lo Towers (Condominiums) First, the 118-unit condominium complex at 2000-2020 Chestnut Avenue was built. These residences offered spacious floor plans and private balconies, setting a new standard for luxury condo living in Glenview.

  • 1988: Valley Lo Towers II (Apartments) This was followed by the construction of the 112-unit luxury apartment building at 1910 Chestnut Avenue. Financed as the "Valley Lo Towers II Project," this development was designed to complement the existing community while providing a high-end rental option.

Today: A Legacy of Quality

Today, both the condominium residences and the luxury apartments stand as a testament to that original vision. Having undergone significant renovations and continuous upkeep over the years, Valley Lo Towers remains a cornerstone of the Glenview community. We are proud to carry on a decades-long legacy of quality, comfort, and sophisticated suburban living.
